The Celyn, which means 'Holly', boasts oak beams, traditional wood burning stoves and is a beautiful location from which to base your stay in this area. All rooms have panoramic views of the Sugar Loaf Mountain and Gwryne Fawr River. We are set in a peaceful and relaxing area 4 miles south of Crickhowell and 5 miles north of Abergavenny. We are conveniently located for super walks, bike rides and other tourist activities. The Celyn is ideal for a weekend get-away or a mid-week break.Situated just off the A465 we are only a 10 minute drive from the nearest train station. Yet the property enjoys doorstep access to a host of footpaths and bridleways to take you on gentle strolls, or more challenging terrain of the unspoilt surrounding peaks of the Black Mountains. We guarantee a warm welcome and a traditional welsh breakfast to set you on your adventure. We make the most of fresh local produce supporting nearby producers, from the water in your room which is sourced from the local spring to the bacon with the breakfast from the local butchers. Directions

From the A40 in Crickhowell, take the turn up past the fire station. On the mini roundabot turn right. Continue on that road for 5 miles heading to Forest Coal Pit. When you reach a sharp right hand bend take the left hand turn towards Patrishow and continue 1 mile along that road. We are the big stone building on the left hand side on the junction heading up to Patrishow (Celyn Farm).
